CLEANING YOUR ARTWORK

Even though all of our printed pieces are made with fade resistant, durable, high quality, pigment inks, a little care is still needed when cleaning and looking after them.

What to use?

All you need is a dry, soft, non-fuzzy cloth such as microfibre or cotton. Lightly wipe dust from the paper surface. Do not rub or apply pressure as this may remove the surface of the paper.

What not to use!

DO NOT use water or cleaning products on the paper surface of your product.

DO NOT use a rough or dirty cloth.

You may use a light amount of polish on a cloth for the laminate edges and back only.

HANGING YOUR WALL ART

Depending on the product and its size, we offer various wall-mount options. In some cases, the wall-mount can be directly integrated into the frame. In most cases, we attach an additional wall-mount to your piece.

Floating Blocks

All our floating blocks are fitted with saw tooth hangers and 4 blocks to create a floating effect. Depending on the size of the piece, one or two hangers are attached to the back of the product.

Hanging your picture can generally be done with screws fixed into holes in the wall using wall plugs. For smaller pictures wall nails may suffice.

  1. Measure the distance between the hangers and use this measurement when drilling holes into the wall - if you only have 1 hanger then no need to do this, simply mark where you would like the centrepoint of your art work

  2. Drill holes in the wall at your desired height

  3. Place wall plugs into holes

  4. Screws are then fitted into the holes but leaving roughly an 2cm overhang to allow the artwork to hang with the blocks on the back resting on the wall to give the floating effect

Wall Blocks

The hanging system is integrated into the frame with a keyhole hanger on wall blocks which makes hanging them slightly easier.

  1. Drill a hole at your desired height and fill with a wall plug

  2. Insert a screw until it is almost entirely in the wall

  3. You will then be able to fit the large hole on the back of the wall block onto the head of the screw and slide downwards until it is resting level

Collages

The hanging system is again integrated into the frame and will be mounted in a similar way to Wall Blocks.

  1. Measure the distance between the hangers and use this measurement when drilling holes into the wall

  2. Drill holes into the wall at your desired height

  3. Place wall plugs into holes

  4. Insert a screw until it is almost entirely in the wall

  5. Hang the collage on the screws

Framed Art

Our framed pieces can come with a variety of fixings dependent on the style of frame chosen. Please follow instructions for the hanging types above if it has sawtooth or keyhole hangers.

For D ring hangers please use the same method as collages, measuring the distance between the fixings and attaching screws to the wall before locating the D rings onto the screws.

For all artwork,

DO NOT:

  1. Hang or place directly in sunlight

  2. Hang over any hot surface i.e. a radiator or cooker

  3. Hang without wall plugs

Albums

Do not treat materials with acetone or other liquids. Delicately brush off any unwanted fluff with a soft-haired brush or soft, dry sponge. Use packing tape or clear tape to remove any fluff stuck in the material's fibres.

Lightly wipe the album itself with a dry, soft cloth such as a microfibre.

UNPACKAGING

For blocks the process is very simple to remove from the protective bag it is done by ripping the labels that hold it together and removing from the open end of the bag.

For collages, you should only use a sharp object on the surrounding tape if necessary. Twist nuts whilst holding bolt head to remove fixings from collages
